No the ZPST only is for ZTE devices, moto devices rarely have firehose leaks.

Guys you have everything y'all need to root this device.
I built and posted a twrp. Deadman96385 posted the firehose programmer.
If you download Qualcomm qpst y'all can wink the twrp (using qfil) and use information technology to boot, and then root the phone.

If you lot want to mail service me your phone I can document the procedure and post a rooted kick.img
I volition of course mail service it dorsum to you lot in one case it's washed.

I was wanting to try and wink TWRP but cannot seem to get QPST to install.. Latest 2.7.453 nigh installs but console appears and disappears (barely notice it) and then the progress bar goes in reverse and error proverb it was interrupted. Never completes installation. Whatever ideas of what to practise? I take the phone in OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging active. I tried to download some other version of QPST (two.vii.104) It really installed but wont show my phone and I don't run across ports listed in Device Managing director.. Machine is windows x 64-bit.

Use this guide I posted for another device to get the basics, so just use the below firmware and edit the rawprogram0.xml to look similar the ones in the guide if y'all wanna flash only the kicking or recovery. Take the boot.img and run it through magisks which will create a patched kick.img to flash or get twrp working for the device.

Y'all'll need to rename it to recovery.img first. If you have to cull a firehose, choose prog_emmc_firehose_8917_ddr.mbn

Custom Rom?

Ok now that we have root and we have twrp, is anyone going to endeavour and brand a custom rom for this phone it's runs nougat right at present which is about to plow 3 years old and the phone volition sometimes lag for no reason whatsoever and y'all could also make the Rom pre rooted then you lot don't have to redo that process or people could root via twrp, thanks.

Should this be revived? Wasn't sure if anyone was able to upgrade past seven.1.ane on their ZTE 971. I've had this phone a long time and I really bask it, but would like to upgrade, or root it so I tin use other things.

I was going to try & backup all the partitions using QPST, but information technology seems you need to get the phone into 9006 mode. We can only become into 9008 way [Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008] with "adb reboot edl" (emergency download manner). Property down Vol+/Vol-/Ability from EDL will become you lot into yet another fashion, ZTE Handset Diagnostic (DFU) mode, but I couldn't figure out how to practise anything from here with QPST.
The simply way to become the phone into 9006 mode is to brick the bootloader, which I'thou not willing to do at the moment.
