What Is Bug Report Captured On My Phone

  1. Cincybearcatfan's Avatar

Does anyone else randomly go a notification that a bug report has been captured and inquire you to electronic mail it, identify it in dropbox or drive? At least one time per week I get this. At starting time I thought that if I emailed it, then it was Google/Moto looking for bug reports to set up, but when I attempt to transport the email information technology emails it to ME!

Just wondering if I'g alone here.

Update...I think I figured out what happened to cause mine. When I got information technology last night I was tryin to exercise a screen capture and forgot which volume button to hit so I hit the Upward vol button first before I hit the correct one (DOWN vol) along with the power push. Then just at present I tried the same combination, PWR button and UP vol, and I got some other notice of a problems report captured.

Did the aforementioned thing to reproduce. Good catch!

One thing I noticed, prior to notifying you that there is a bug, information technology looks like that file gets uploaded automatically to Google's servers. Y'all are essentially uploading an 11 mb to google without knowing it has been sent to them. Like a status indicator or something.

I have been getting this "Bug Written report" generated since May 2014. I have done nothing to consciously generate this report. But, I accept been trying to e-postal service information technology because I was expecting it to know to whom it needs to get. Not a full blissful supposition given these come up at random times and seem to be Android capturing a trouble and wanting to transport it along to developers. Well ... I am aback to say that all this fourth dimension I have failed to observe the reported were going to MY GMAIL ACCOUNT. What a waste material of time and resource. Since Google and Android are one benevolent domain, someone should at least bonfire a path for these "Bug Reports" to find their way back to the Igors in their bastions of development.

At present that I know I've duped myself into believing that Google Android knows more than virtually what happens on my Motorola Moto G running Android four.4.4 than the NSA, I volition merely delete these pesky bits of irrelevance.

Nothing to see here, move along.

    Thanks for the respond, Principal!
    Non trying to anything.
Nearly of the time just talking, texting, checking e-mails. I rarely plow the telephone off, printing the on button to wake it up, audio down during events, don't do anything special.
It merely seems to come upward with this 'Issues Study' from nowhere, even later on periods of no action.

Hey no problem Lucky, It seems that a few people have experienced this, including myself, and it is from a combination of pressing the ability and vol upwardly buttons only it can accept a few minutes to actually compile the report and will not show upward until the next time you wake your phone. I have read that y'all can turn this off by going into your setting>programmer options and disabling the USB debugging option, although I have not tested that. If no luck with that so I would just go along deleting them because they are pretty big files for text files, at to the lowest degree mine were.

Well the path on my i337 running stock 4.4.4 is: \Android\data\com.google.android.apps.docs\files\pinned_docs_files_do_not_edit\49c34f0efae55dd2eff65082035a3fea

Inappreciably - in a Bug Report binder!!! The easiest fashion to exercise this is to permit Win7 do a search of the Telephone.

Quite honestly....I'yard a dummy when it comes to this stuff. I know I have all kinds of Apps on my Nexus 5 that I volition never use or even know what the app does. Such as SDK Director, and SIM Toolkit, and other stuff.....Can anyone tell me if information technology is safe to remove pre installed apps that I don't use....such as HANGOUTS, or EARTH or GOOGLE PLAY BOOKS, or GOOGLE PLAY NEWSSTAND? I get message that tells me that other apps might misbehave.

Greetings! The following instructions will cease Problems Reports in 90% of cases. There are means to inadvertently enable the USB debugging choice in Android 4+, which generates these reports. These instructions will allow you to deactivate that option.

    1. Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom of the menu
    2. If yous come across "Developer options" become to step three
2a. If you practice not see Programmer options, select About telephone, whorl to the bottom of the card
2b. Printing "Build number" 7 times, this will brand you a developer.
2c. Become back and scroll to the bottom of Settings
    three. Enter Developer options menu
    4. Uncheck USB deugging
You lot've now deactivated the Issues Reports

Some programs, like FoxFi crave USB debugging for sure activities, such as tethering with USB. The small crashes occur frequently and often don't touch on the user experience. These reports give detailed information when a crash occurs, which tin can help developers. I promise this relieves some bedevilment.
